  • Little Leaders Foundation (LLF) is a public benefit organisation based in Leiden, Netherlands. The organisation was founded on the 13th of November 2018.

    We are a rights-based organisation that contributes to children’s rights to Education, Healthcare and to Be Heard. We strive for a future in which equal rights result in equal opportunities for all children. Little Leaders Foundation motivates youth worldwide to take charge of their future.

  • We execute projects regarding children’s rights to Education, Healthcare and to B Heard.

    Our ongoing projects are:

    1. Little Trees Nurtury - building a preschool in Mannar, Sri Lanka, that will provide holistic education to children and offer pedagogic counselling to parents.

    2. Rural Education and Development (READ) - increasing the accessibility of education in rural areas of Sri Lanka through scholarships.

    Among our projects, we execute research, write articles and raise awareness offline and online.

  • Our logo shows a staircase that symbolizes how education and support in early childhood create opportunities, as it empowers people and communities in a self-sustaining cycle of societal development.

  • "Little Leaders" represents the children and communities we support through our projects. Our projects aim to empower those in need. We believe that everyone deserves an equal opportunity and therefore strive to provide our “Little Leaders” with sufficient tools to become future leaders.

  • You can donate in different ways.

    1. You can make an open donation to our organisation that is not specifically intended for one of our projects or activities.

    2. You can make a closed donation that is specifically intended for one of our projects, such as Little Trees Nurtury or READ.

    Apart from using the donation buttons that direct you to our online donorbox campaign, you can also manually transfer the preferred amount to our bank account.

  • We encourage companies to donate in ways that are suitable to their brand and budget. For example, this could be a one-time donation, a percentage of the yearly profit or the amount of money that is usually spent on Christmas packages for employees. Also, small shops or businesses could ask customers to donate their change in a donation box or add a link to our donorbox campaign on their website.

    Benefits for your company:

    • The charitable initiatives of your company can be an integral part of your brand, positioning yourself as reliable and ethical.

  • As a volunteer, you can become involved in fundraising, content development, administration, research & development, web development, organizing events, stewardship and more! To us, every volunteer must have the opportunity to use their own talents and do the work that interests them. That is why we encourage you to look within our organization to determine which activities you want to partake in.

    Experience is not required. However, being fluent in English is essential to become part of our team.

  • Yes, Little Leaders Foundation has been acknowledged by the Dutch tax authorities as a Public Beneficiary Organisation (PBO), or in Dutch: Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling (ANBI). We have been officially recognized as a PBO since January 1, 2021.

  • Yes, we are. Although, we are not open to collaborations that conflict with our values, mission and vision. That is why we are selective in which collaborations we pursue and participate in.
